Phoenix rises
American Kyle Stanley has won his first PGA Tour title, carding a final round 65 to win the Phoenix Open.
Stanley’s bogey-free round included six birdies and was enough to hold off the challenge of countrymen Ben Crane and Spencer Levin.
Australians Rod Pampling and Greg Chalmers finished at eight-under-par and a tie for 15th.

Dutchwoman Christel Boeljon carded a final round 68 to win the RACV Australian Ladies Masters yesterday.
The 24-year-old sunk a birdie putt on the last green to snatch the AU$75,000 first prize at Royal Pines on the Gold Coast.
"I never guessed I'd be holding this trophy, it's very special," said Boeljon, who made her Solheim Cup debut for Europe last September.
Boeljon finished at 21-under-par, one clear of overnight leader So-Yeong Ryu, fellow South Korean Ha-Neul Kim and Italian Diana Luna.

One for the ladies The inaugural Sanctuary Cove Ladies Golf Classic will be held at The Pines and The Palms courses between March 11 and March 13.
The three-day event will not only provide players of all levels with the opportunity to enjoy golf in a social, no-pressure environment, but allow competitors, sponsors and supporters to raise funds towards the Adam Scott Foundation. Money raised at the event will support the foundation’s current project to build a Youth Centre in Labrador.
Day one will be a fun foursome event, followed by two days of 18-hole competitions. Australia’s Karrie Webb has confirmed she will return to defend her HSBC Women’s Champions title at the Tanah Merah Country Club in Singapore in February.
Currently 18th in the world rankings, Webb will journey to Singapore after her appearance at the Australian Women’s Open at Royal Melbourne from February 9 – 12. She will be joined in the Open field by world number one Yani Tseng.
“I am so excited to be playing the Australian Open on the composite course at Royal Melbourne,” Webb said. “Although I first played the Australian Amateur on the East Course in 1991 I have never played the composite course before in tournament golf.”
